My love for photography started in high school when I took my first photography class. It was fun shooting in black and white with my dad’s old Pentax film SLR camera. In class we processed our film and made prints with giant enlargers. While in high school I took pictures for the school paper, which gave me a chance to photograph all kinds of events.
In collage I worked for a wedding studio and also as a freelance photographer for the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press. Being a photographer for a big newspaper was very exciting. After a photo shoot I would go to the Detroit newsroom and I would edit my photos and write captions.
In 2006, I moved to Colorado. Soon after arriving in Fort Collins, I formed my own photography business and began a new chapter in my photography career. My primary focus has been wedding photography serving Fort Collins and greater Northern Colorado. Even though I am based in Fort Collins, I’ve photographed weddings in Estes Park, Glenwood Springs and throughout the Front Range.
It is an exciting experience to photograph in Colorado. The beautiful, natural landscapes provide a perfect setting for any event.
My goal is to truly document all of the special moments of each wedding or event, and capture the joy and happiness in a traditional and journalistic style.
